A platform from which you can expand and add capabilities as desired, the GE OEC 9600 mobile c-arm is an imaging tool that is capable of performing different roles in multiple environments. Light and compact for easy transportation, the OEC 9600 nevertheless has a large depth of 26 inches and a more-than-usual amount of space between the x-ray tube and image intensifier. The extra space allows for more room to perform procedures and to accommodate protruding instruments. It can then be used for laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures.
It can run continuously during fluoroscopy because it can quickly dissipate heat with its rotating anode. It processes images digitally and is capable of motion artifact reduction, real-time histogram generation, and real-time subtraction. Images may be stored in memory, diskettes, or a hard disk option. When the standard surgical platform needs to be enhanced, modules may be added to extend the OEC 9600’s capabilities for the following applications: orthopedics, cholecystectomy, vascular surgery, and neurovascular surgery. These modules increase the amount of image storage and enhance the device’s imaging capabilities.
